Dr. Bill Edgar is an information consultant, researcher, and teacher. A former academic library manager and instructional librarian, he is currently a Knowledge Management consultant, providing guidance on NeoOhio.us, a project to create a “smart” region across Northeast Ohio. He is currently pursing research on the definition of Knowledge Management and competencies held by corporations. He has recently published a monograph on corporate competencies with his co-author, Dr. Chris Lockwood. He has published research on the effectiveness of academic and corporate libraries, as well as in the management discipline of strategy.
He is currently teaching Knowledge Management at Kent State University and the University of South Florida. His extensive teaching experience also includes graduate and undergraduate courses in Content Management, Library Planning and Evaluation, Information Literacy Instruction, and Reference and Public Services.it.
